“On 1st October, a rather cold and damp Tuesday afternoon, two teams of Year Five and Year Six girls made their way to Ben Rhydding Rhydding Primary School for their first ever game of netball with another school. The weather did not deter them and our girls had a brilliant time, thoroughly enjoying the experience. They all played well with lots of enthusiasm and were watched by a small but encouraging crowd.

 The scores were: Year 6 team lost 7 – 2. Year 5 team lost 6 – 2.

Thanks to everyone involved for making it happen!

Emma Wood with the help of Danielle Hoggett, Kate McIntosh and Sally Waddington (who are all parents at Sacred Heart) run a weekly after-school netball club on Mondays, for up to 20 girls, in Years 4, 5 and 6. Further netball matches with local primary schools are being planned.”
