RE

Half Term 1:

Creation

In RE we will be looking at some of the questions which people have been asking about creation for a long time. We will delve into both the Scientific Truths and Theological Truths about creation. A big issue in today's world is suffering. We will study the story of 'The Fall' to help us understand how suffering came about. From this story we will be able to discuss how we can become better co-creators of God's world.

covenants-523x477.jpg

We have been having some in depth discussions about God's power and His anger. Our focus has been the Old Testaments and looking at the life of Abram (Abraham), Noah and Moses. God made covenants which each man: but were the covenants fulfilled?

By entering Advent we turn our thoughts towards Jesus. God promised he would send the Messiah to guide and lead us - The ultimate convenant made between God and us.

Term 1: Coasts

Coastal eriosion.jpg

We have been working hard to identify a variety of different coastal features. We have looked at the impact of weathering, discussed and researched coastal land features (caves, arches, stacks and stumps) and have debated which coastal defence is the most effective and why.
