Sacred Heart School Council
Who are we?
What an exciting and productive meeting our new school council had!
Elected pupils from years 2-6 met on Tuesday for the first time to share their hopes and aspirations for the year ahead.
A chair, vice-chair, secretary and other roles were democratically elected (plus the vote for which notebook would be used for minutes was unanimous which is surely a great sign!)
The school council members already have lots of ideas for fundraising, helping those in need, plus eating copious amounts of cakes! They aim to involve pupils, families, staff and the wider Sacred Heart community. Ideas boxes will soon be making their way into classes so all pupils can have an input into the future of their school.

Donations to School
A huge thank you to everyone who donated clothes and shoes for the Bag2School collection on Tuesday 25th January. We were thrilled by the number of bags donated by our Sacred Heart community and the school representatives did a sterling job moving them to the hall first thing in the morning.
We are happy to announce that your donations have raised a marvellous £88 to benefit the school!
Thank you also to everyone who has sent in books for our playground book boxes, we are still accepting donations of second-hand books for pupils of all ages to enjoy during play times. Last week the school council met to sort books into those suitable for younger and older pupils and we hope to rotate these from time to time so all preferences can be catered for. These will be available for all pupils to access freely, and we hope they will be greatly enjoyed.
Many thanks for your continued support.
