We provide a range of wholesome and nutritious meals cooked on the premises each day by our dedicated kitchen staff. Lunch is made up of two courses with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Our menus change seasonally and we cater for vegetarians and other dietary needs. Our weekly menus are displayed on the school notice boards.

The children sit together in small groups to encourage social interaction …

Children are able to bring packed lunches but are encouraged to socialise by having school meals wherever possible. Parents/carers may, of course, make arrangements for their child to go home for lunch.

Parents are entitled to Free School Meals for their children if they are in receipt of particular benefits. A detailed list is available from Bradford Council’s Revenue and Benefits Service and from the school. Children who qualify for Free School Meals can also be entitled to receive help with other costs i.e. residential school visits and school uniform. Applications for Free School Meals for all children from Y3 to Y6 are made on line at www.bradford.gov.uk

From September 2014, children in YR, Y1 and Y2 have been able to receive Universal free school meals. However, parents on non-working benefits, who would have qualified for ‘eligibility based’ Free School Meals, should still apply in the normal way to Bradford Council although the children are entitled to receive them.

Parents/carers pay for all school meals on ParentPay as the school operates a cashless system for school meals.
